It’s so true. One of the biggest problems people have is setting unattainable goals. Setting unrealistic goals for yourself will hurt you far more than it will help you. Shrink your goals down to something that is incredibly attainable. You’ll be much more likely to stay motivated this way. Once you achieve one of your small goals, start on another.
For example, if you need to lose 40 pounds that can be a daunting task. So start small. Have a goal to lose 1 pound this week. Or 5 pounds this month. When you achieve these small successes, they will give you a huge boost to keep going. Break down your big goal into many small, attainable pieces…then knock them out one by one.
Remember, if you are significantly over your goal weight, you didn’t gain all that weight in a day. And you won’t be able to lose it in one day either. You can’t jump from A-Z overnight. Take those baby steps. Like Chris says, “Go from A to B.”
